Mark Alan

Mark Alan is a multi-award-winning producer with over 20 years of experience in film, television, and digital media. As a Partner at Renfield Productions, Mark plays a key leadership role in guiding the company’s creative direction and producing slate, continuing the bold and imaginative legacy of founder Joe Dante.

Mark began his career in the fast-paced world of New York City’s daytime television before moving into feature development, where he quickly rose through the ranks from Story Editor to Head of Development and ultimately to full-time Producer. His work is defined by a strong narrative focus, collaborative spirit, and a deep understanding of every phase of production.

His producing credits include the critically acclaimed thriller DARK—which premiered at the Oldenburg Film Festival and was nominated for the German Independence Award—and the supernatural horror feature Camp Cold Brook, winner of Best Horror Feature at Shriekfest 2018.

In addition to his work in feature film, Mark co-produces the long-running and fan-favorite web series Trailers From Hell, where he collaborates with a diverse range of filmmakers to celebrate and dissect the art of cinema.

With a passion for genre storytelling and a proven track record of success, Mark continues to develop and produce original content that blends classic sensibilities with contemporary voices—cementing his role as a vital force in modern independent filmmaking.
